"Intramural" Premiere - 2014 Tribeca Film Festival

This years 2014 Tribeca Film Festival logged about 923 industry delegates to this year’s fest,a jump up from last years 832. There was about 120,000 moviegoers in attendance who turned out for the 13th annual TFF across 400 screenings and panel events, according to festival organizers. This year’s festival ended on April 27, comprised 89 features and 57 shorts.
Tribeca didn’t yield a huge amount of acquisition news as usual to this event. Just before the festival ended, Radius-TWC closed a deal on “Keep On Keepin’ On,” a music documentary that scored one of the festival’s “audience award” and juried prize for “new documentary director”. Earlier in the week the Joss Whedon-penned and produced “In Your Eyes” turned heads when Whedon announced, immediately following the film’s Tribeca premiere, that the pic would be released digitally for $5 per streaming rental.

The Tribeca Film festival’s total attendance was around 400,000 when you include the estimated 275,000 who turned out for the annual Tribeca Family Festival Street Fair and Tribeca/ESPN Sports Day. All and all this was a great 2014 Tribeca Film festival event as usual.
