Last night in New York City, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Carmelo Anthony unveiled their new “SMS Audio Sports collection”. This was an invite-only event, the hip hop entrepreneur and the basketball star showed off their athletic line for the first time. Adding the sports line to their host of other headphones, the style now joins other types like DJ Pro, On Ear, and Sync.

This rooftop event was decorated with all facets of the brand and even adorned with sports models to give the attendees taste of the new product. The sports line which features green, blue, and pink headphones was splattered all through the event bringing bright splashes of color to the blue dimmed setting.

Midway through the event, Brian Nohe, SMS President presented a spread documenting everything one needed to know about the new product. From offering both in-ear and on-ear to wired and wireless; it was evident that thought of all types of athletes were considered when creating the new line. During the presentation it was also revealed the the sports line is waterproof and built to withstand harsh weather conditions. During that time, viewers also got a first look at the SMS Sports Collection commercial which stars Carmelo and features 50 Cent’s song “Winners Circle.”

As the event wrapped, Carmelo and 50 both took the stage to express both gratitude and excitement about their new line. Before parting, Carmelo made sure to let it be known that they are in no competition with “other” audio brands and that there will only be massive growth from here. “You better jump on the bandwagon early,” he said.
