Born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992 her father is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. Her godmother is no less than country singer Dolly Parton. With this kind of environment it’s not surprising she would go into the entertainment business herself.

In her childhood Miley held minor roles in the television series Doc and the film Big Fish. She became a teen idol after being cast in the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana in 2006. Miley started recording in 2007 releasing her debut studio album Meet Miley Cyrus which was a big hit.

She continued with television and movie appearances and also recording. As she matured Miley developed a more sexually explicit public image which has certainly helped her record sales. In 2007, Miley earned $18 million. She earned $25 million in 2008 while in 2010 she earned $48 million. She’s a very successful entrepreneur by any measure. Her music career has took a great leap and now she is selling out arenas and performing on the top award shows on TV.
