Tim Cook has publicly come out by letting the world know he is Gay and proud of it. While being extremely open in his personal life, this is the first public acknowledgement giving from the 53-year-old executive. Tim Cook said proudly “While I have never denied my sexuality, I haven’t publicly acknowledged it either, until now. So let me be clear: I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me.”

He feels that this is very important to him to take these steps so he give his thought on it. Cook goes on to say, “So if hearing that the CEO of Apple is gay can help someone struggling to come to terms with who he or she is, or bring comfort to anyone who feels alone, or inspire people to insist on their equality, then it’s worth the trade-off with my own privacy.”

As we know the world is changing drastically as for the sexuality of people being brought to the for front and same sex marriages being accepted in so many states in US. The importance of Tim Cook coming out give this subject a larger platform and embraces positivity into the LGBT community and give confidence to that community as well. For so many years the LGBT community hasn’t had any legal protections at the workplace concerning their sexual orientation but in time the world has been making progress mainly in the UK.
