Founder and CEO of Gravity Payments, Dan Price has changed the lives of many in a matter of seconds. Price is a young CEO of a fast rising company with about 40+ employees who he pays pretty decent for a upstart company. He recently held a private meeting with all of his employees and announced to them that he would be raising salaries to a minimum of $70,000 starting that day. Now that meant some employees would actually be doubling their salaries which is unheard of. Now to make this happen Mr.Price who was making over $1 million a year had to cut his own salary to $70,000 a year. The employees were amazed and very happy. He basically changed most of there live financially by giving them a much quicker jump in salary. Living in Seattle where cost of living is pretty high this raise would definitely help a lot of these employees live a more comfortable life. Price was unsatisfied with the salary gap between the CEO’s and the workers of the middle class. i truly feel he will definitely get a lot more work out of his staff than he ever did. Financially everyone is on the same playing field.
