The Adidas company has been doing some big signings with NBA athletes like superstar Derek Rose but because of his injury his superstar status has dropped allegedly. Adidas has been trying to compete with the powerhouse Nike/Jordan brand for the last 15 years when they have had the most marketable player on their roster like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and new young sensation Kevin Durant. The next move has to be their best move for Adidas, so apparently they have went to the drawing board and offered Houston Rockets superstar/ fashion icon James Harden a 13 year deal worth $200 million. All media outlets are going crazy because of that offer. Hardens was previously with Nike, in which his contract has expired with them. Adidas is definitely pushing the envelope to get their next big superstar that will bring the attention and sales they need to make a huge jump into the market revenue wise. Harden averaged 27.4 points, seven assists and 5.7 rebounds per game last season in the NBA and has became one of the Top 5 marketing faces in the league. He has been a class act on and off the court with a superstar’s performance on the court always. Houston is a big city and if this deal goes through Adidas will definitely increase sales drastic in the Houston market. I guess we can say too be continued.
