Viola Davis made history last night at The 67th Emmy Awards, as the 1st black actress to win the Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her role on “How to Get Away with Murder”. The last black actress to be nominated for an Emmy was Taraji P Henson for her role in the television hit series “Empire”. Davis gave a phenomenal speak after winning her fabulous award while touching on the important of having “opportunity” to achieve things of significance. She spoke on the only difference between black women and white women in their industry is opportunities. Davis speech seem to uplift the crowd but of course few had some confusion.
