In 2012, Colorado passed the law to legalize marijuana and with that the state has raised an enormous amount of money. The revenue has gave a major push to the economy in which allows the state to fund their philanthropic support. They have received about $4.5 million dollars in sales tax from marijuana sales. According to the Aurora Sentinel news Colorado will donate $1.5 million dollars of the sales tax money to the homeless. their are key non profits which handle homeless support in the city, in which they will receive the money to help the homeless.
