We all love basketball in some form or fashion and hate to see our favorite players retire from the NBA after years of showmanship. So many MVP’s have won championships and then retired to live the second part of their lives as businessmen and entrepreneurs. One of the biggest entrepreneurs/ actors has come up with a great idea to create a league for the retired players over 30 years old. We know him as the legendary hiphop rapper/ mega business man O’Shea “Ice Cube” Jackson. Yes indeed, Ice Cube has created a 3 on 3 half court basketball league with some of your best retired NBA basketball players like Allen Iverson, who will be a player/ coach for the league, Rashard Lewis, Kenyon Martin, Mike Bibby and Chauncey Billup to name a few. This league will have about 8 teams and will be a traveling league which will play on Saturdays during the summer months. This is going to be something very special indeed with a powerful individual like Ice Cube behind the with his partner Jeff Kwatinetz. Im sure there will be some major sponsorship behind this league with a lot of exposure and support. Lets keep our ears and eyes open to see how many more players get involved with the BIG3 basketball league.
